I have almost experienced OBEs in the past. But I didnt know what was happening so it scared me. I havent actually left my body yet, but I was unable to move and but was very aware of what was happening in the room. At first I would feel tingling, and then hear a humming noise. It was hard to breath, and I would panic. I would sometimes make my boyfriend hold my hand while I went to sleep incase I started feeling this, And told him to waik me up if I squeezed his hand. But now that I know whats going on, I want to go further. Im just not sure how to get there now because it used to happen without me trying. Wish me luck, and thank you for opening my eyes.

i've been trying for a while to have a conscious OBE.. and i wanted to say that i love the piano on your site.. did you write it? it's beautiful!
Josh from Auckland, New Zealand
A well put together webpage. I am a student of astral travel and found some great information. And Jonas is really cute too...
Rita from CHICAGO, IL USA
JONAS, You kinda resemble Jim Morrison;) anyway I Looove your cat and website. I am also a catlover and have also traveled oob. It started as electric tingle everywhere and I thought the same as you "cool I am finally out" then I moved through my house observing everything around which looked real as can be except everything had an electric kind of energy around it, kinda like an acid trip. Then I went through my front door and did the first thing I've always wanted to do lift my arms and fly. After that my mind wandered and the journey escaped me until I woke tomy brother knocking on my door. It was an experience i will never forget and haven't done in 6 years. Now i will try again after seeing your website and also trying to focus on less stressful things in life. Anyone can do it if you have an open mind and can concentrate and focus. Only with a clear mind though.
Jamie
Nice site. You single? LOL, sorry. I'm trying to train myself to have an OOBE. I had a spontaneous one when I was younger, and I'd love to be able to go back.
Marlon from London, England
Brilliant and fascinating guide to AP. You've answered all my questions and given me lots of interesting information. Thank you, Marlon.

HEY! I had my first Astral-Projection last night! It was only five seconds because i got startled when I saw myself! But it was awsome! I am going to try to do it again!

Last night, I tried the catapult method... It almost worked but the pins and needles feeling freaked me out and I lost my concentration.I'm gonna try untill i succeed.

Great technique, expertise experience, and even troubleshooting. The relaxing suggestions and not trying too hard is good advice to. Schedules, log books, etc. One Suggestion for Everyone: When you write down your dreams it's important to visualize that dream several times during the day and especially at night. Only visualize yourself knowing you are dreaming. Relive the dream in your mind only relive it knowing you were dreaming. Odds are then similar dreams you will be able to control and turn it into an OBE.

Hey, great site! I was wondering if anyone could tell me the name of the song that is playing in the background. It is so relaxing and mystical. I love it! Any feedback would be great! Thanks!

You made it easy. I had my first experience last night using the dream state method. It lasted for a short time. I couldn't see anything. I was overwhelmed by the rush of energy and quickly came back to my physical body. I was so amazed by the experience. I jumped out of bed and finally felt my body as a capsule. A strange sense of appreciation came to me. I looked in the mirror and cried tears of joy. It was so simple that I had a hard time falling back asleep. I will continue until the fear subsides. Thank you for the guidance. PS - I used to research Astral Projection when I was in high school (now 26) and quickly abandoned it. I guess I wasn't ready.

You know, I've been obsessed with astral projection every since I did it..twice on accident. The first time I just kinda wondered around my room not really realizing I was doing it until I looked back at my bed, saw my body there, freaked out and got sent back. The second time I was sleeping and I heard myself snoring and someone else that was sitting in the room make a comment about it. It was neat. I plan to do it at will sometime and this site is very helpful. Thanks.

Heyy, I had stayed up all night lastnight reading about your first OBE, teqniques, astral predicaments, and FAQs. I was just so much more aware of it, and it turned out the next morning, I actually had expierianced something, I dont no if i was actually haveing an OBE, but it seemed pretty crazy. It was like, after I read all your stuff on it, I felt so much different towards it. Im on1y 14, but im obsessed with Astral Projecting hah, Everytime I get the chance I read as much as I can on it. My mom would always tell me about her stories and I was just always so amazed.

Dear jonas, Thanks to you i am having frequent oobs and am enjoying the benefits of a very peaceful existance.

Jonas, the music playing in the background of your site, I must know what it is. Can you please tell me? I'm not familiar with this piece of music, but the haunting melody has somehow opened me up to a whole new reality, and brought forth memories of things that I didn't know I had experienced. I can't really explain it, but something about the song speaks to my soul. If you would share this music with me or tell me what it is and who it is by, I would be so grateful. Thanks so much for your time, and for your site. Blessings and light!

I just had a question what does it feel like right before you have an obe because and i've been trying and the farthest i get is i feel like pillowy like floating through clouds and i dont know if that is just because im falling asleep or an i getting close?
Jermaine
Your stories are pretty vivid and make me day dream about how it must feel to be able to have OBEs. when I am able to do the same I will update you! your cool and funny but extremely educated on this subject of astral projection which means you are very smart aswell!

I remember once when I was around 11, I was sleeping durring the day when suddenly got thirsty. Now that I think about it, I probably became "concious" for a second but my body was still out. So finally I decided to get up and get something from the fridge. Everything around me was very normal, and I didnt notice anything wrong besides the fact that I couldnt stand right away. But I started walking and I felt something wasnt right, and when I blinked I was back on the couch again. My first reaction was wtf. But after a second, I believed that i was actually awake and got up. I felt something was wrong blikned and was back again. This happened again and again, I panicked and eventually I tried to keep my eyes open as long as I could, but I always "blinked" back when I got too scared. Eventually I got really frightened and started to scream and kick. but nothing woke me up or brought me back until I gave up crying and fell back into a dream. I still have these experiences on the weekends when I sleep a lot or durring the summer, but I've never tried to really control them. I only have them when "I" want to wake up and my body cant. Sometimes I'll see my body just as if I was awake and in bed (like im sleeping with my eyes open), and Ill move my arms and my hands but they wont actually move, and like you said, if I try, Ill roll off my bed, then get up and walk a bit before I get frustrated and realize im not in my solid body. If I get super angry I can start a "humm" in the back of my head that'll bring me back. I dont really know how I do it, but the back of my head gets warm then there's a buzz (i can't hear it, I feel it) then it turns into a humm that grows thicker and warmer like butter and soon my head starts to vibrate hard (not so buttery) until it just stops and I "snap" awake. Im estimating that I've done this 4 times since I figured I could, but before I used to just cry, calm down and start a dream or something. I've noticed a trend, usually I have to be uncomfortable in some type of way. I dont like to sleep on my back (like you stated) which rouses me to try and move, or Ill want something but be too tired to get up at the moment. And now that I think of it, this is probably why I end up frustrated by these ordeals. I think I'll try to trigger one soon and control it, and come back here when I do. I like your site, thanks for helping me realise that I can possibly turn this into a good thing, or at least an interesting one.
Harley from San Diego, CA USA
What's up!!!!!! Just wanted to say I like your website. I haven't checked all of it out yet. I had an awesome OBE the same night(I believe I just went back into my dream state though). But still really fun. Lates
